Like The Future Dub Project for more info. facebook.com/thefuturedubproject @FDubOfficial The Future Dub Project is a collaboration of the instrumental and production talents of Kyle B, James Duff, Mike Pockett & Thomas James. Kyle B & James Duff started writing a hybrid of computer and instrumental material to break away from the limitations created by the classic band format. Inspired by and experimenting with the dub mixing style of times gone by, they soon realised they were onto something powerful. After many years playing with session bassist Mike Pockett and due to his technical knowledge and skill at playing live electronic sub on his bass guitar, he was the obvious choice for a source of gritty dub basslines, Their debut album: Pirate Transmission features multiple vocalists, from Reggae singer Dandelion to Harlem rapper Sean Brown. During the albums creation it became apparent that there was the potential for an electrifying live show. To turn this into a reality they joined forces with Parisian DJ and Ableton head Thomas James. Using his knowledge they determined that the best line of attack was to sample and affect parts of the recorded tracks live on stage alongside real instruments, including Drums, Bass, Guitar and Brass, expertly played by session musicians Patrick Kenny & Brendan Musk. After recording vocalists Peta Oneir & hype man, Sam Rothon, The Future Dub Project realised they would be ideal to front the live show. The live show line up was complete. Having constantly toured as the sound engineer and dub mixer in The Drop, Kyle B was able to design the audio aspects of the show to maximises the potential of any given sound system.
